HOME BIRTH DOULA

The right team to support your birth dreams

Choosing to birth your baby at home is an excellent option for many families. Being in your own, familiar environment helps to bring a sense of comfort and peace that can look radically different from a hospital room.

To plan for your home birth, we will spend time prior to labor and birth building a birth plan specific to your desires and dreams. We will discuss coping mechanisms, envision your environment, and explore what it could look like to have our baby within you home.

When it's time to have your baby, I will help you move through the stages of labor utilizing different coping mechanisms to overcome each labor surge. Through movement, breathing, or other tools discussed as part of your birth plan, you will labor your baby through your pelvis, navigate pushing, and welcome your sweet baby into your arms.

During your immediate postpartum period, you will typically have a calm, gentle transition with baby skin to skin. Generally one to two hours postpartum after baby has successfully breastfed, I will then leave to allow you to rest and bond.
